CUMBERLAND, MD – Police are searching for a man accused of carrying out a serious assault early Saturday morning in the 500 block of North Centre Street.
Investigators identified the suspect as 49-year-old Roger Louis Johnson of Cumberland.
A warrant has been issued for Johnson’s arrest, and authorities warn he should be considered armed and dangerous.

Multi-agency investigation leads to suspect identification
Members of the Combined County Criminal Investigation Unit (C3I) and deputies from the Allegany County Sheriff’s Office joined Cumberland Police at the scene in the early morning hours of Saturday. After gathering evidence and witness accounts, investigators identified Johnson as the suspect responsible for the attack.
