Laurel woman wins dream Hawaii trip through Maryland Lottery’s Jurassic Park promotion
Laurel, MD – A Laurel woman is packing her bags for paradise after winning a six-day, five-night trip to Hawaii through the Maryland Lottery’s JURASSIC PARK second-chance promotion — a dream she had postponed earlier this year.
Mithra Khoshroo was named the second winner in the promotion, earning a luxury vacation for two to Oahu that includes airfare, hotel accommodations, $1,000 in spending cash, and curated excursions. She and her husband, avid travelers who’ve previously visited Canada and India, had planned a trip to Hawaii earlier this year but delayed it due to the birth of their grandson.
The promotion, open to players who enter non-winning JURASSIC PARK scratch-offs into the Maryland Lottery’s My Lottery Rewards program, also offers winners a shot at a $1 million prize during the exclusive $1,000,000 Jackpot Challenge held on the island.
Khoshroo, who is still learning how the second-chance entry system works, was stunned when she received the congratulatory email. She becomes the second trip winner after James Dabney of Baltimore. Two more winners will be selected in upcoming drawings scheduled for December 9 and January 7.
In addition to the travel prize, players can still win big instantly. The $5 JURASSIC PARK scratch-off launched on September 19 and has six top prizes of $50,000. Two of those have already been claimed — one in Washington, D.C., and another in Elkridge — with four top prizes still available.
All trip winners will enjoy a welcome reception, guided activities, and a once-in-a-lifetime chance to play for up to $1 million during their Hawaiian adventure.
