Germantown player wins $5 million on scratch-off as Maryland Lottery dishes out nearly $34.4M in a week
GERMANTOWN, MD – A Maryland Lottery scratch-off sold in Germantown delivered a staggering $5 million prize last week, leading a surge of high-dollar wins that included a $770,000 Multi-Match jackpot in Silver Spring and a six-figure FAST PLAY ticket in Annapolis.
The $5,000,000 Fortune ticket was sold at Town Center Sunoco, located at 19738 Germantown Road, and was the largest single prize awarded across the state for the week of Nov. 3–9. The win topped a leaderboard filled with dozens of other big payouts on various lottery games.
According to Maryland Lottery data, players won nearly $34.4 million statewide during the week — including 33 tickets worth $10,000 or more.
The second-largest prize went to a Multi-Match ticket worth $770,000 sold Nov. 5 at Bel Pre Beer & Wine in Silver Spring. Meanwhile, a FAST PLAY Lucky Numbers progressive jackpot ticket worth $125,985 was sold Nov. 7 at Quik Mart on West Street in Annapolis.
Among other notable scratch-off prizes claimed were:
- $100,000 Silver Bell Bucks ticket (Glen Burnie)
- $50,000 Let’s Make A Deal® ticket (Essex)
- $30,000 Candy Cane Cash ticket (White Hall)
- $20,000 Ravens X2 ticket (Potomac)
Ten separate $10,000 prizes were claimed on various scratch-off games, including Deluxe Crossword, Ravens X10, Lucky 777, and additional $5,000,000 Fortune tickets sold in Oxon Hill and Silver Spring.
Players are reminded that scratch-off tickets must be claimed within the posted expiration dates, and draw game tickets expire 182 days after the drawing. Prizes over $25,000 must be redeemed by appointment at the Maryland Lottery’s Customer Resource Center in Baltimore.
