PIKESVILLE, Md. — A coordinated operation by the Maryland Car Rally Task Force led to the dismantling of 10 illegal car rallies and the arrest of five individuals, including four juveniles, during an overnight crackdown on Saturday, November 30.

Authorities reported that the events, which drew hundreds of participants and spectators, took place across Baltimore City and multiple counties, including Baltimore, Anne Arundel, Howard, and Prince George’s. The task force, supported by local law enforcement and state agencies, successfully disrupted these large-scale exhibition driving events between 10:00 p.m. and 4:00 a.m.

All five arrests were made at a rally in the 5100 block of Park Avenue in Baltimore, where approximately 300 people and vehicles had blocked roadways for dangerous driving stunts. Police arrested Josue Emanuel Hernandez Cordon, 18, of Laurel, Maryland, on charges of reckless driving and possession of a replica handgun.

Within the same area, authorities recovered two stolen vehicles—a Nissan 370Z and a black Camaro SS. Four juveniles, aged 15 to 17, were apprehended after attempting to flee the Camaro, which police suspect may have been involved in other car rallies and a recent armed robbery in Washington, D.C. Officers also recovered two firearms from the vehicle.

The Maryland Car Rally Task Force, a multi-agency coalition, emphasized the importance of continued collaboration to address the growing issue of illegal exhibition driving across the state.
