Bel Air woman wins $50K Keno prize during night out with friends
BEL AIR, MD – A night of fun at Steelefish Grille turned into a $50,020 payday for Carolyn Seifert of Bel Air after she hit a big win playing the Maryland Lottery’s Keno game.
Seifert said her lucky streak started on a six-spot game where she picked up a few hundred dollars. Feeling confident, she moved on to a seven-spot game with the Super Bonus option. When she checked her ticket, she initially thought she had won $5,000. A friend used the Maryland Lottery app to scan the ticket, confirming she had actually hit all seven numbers for a $50,000 prize, plus $20 in winnings.
The winning numbers were 5, 32, 49, 61, 62, 73, and 78. Seifert became the largest Keno winner in Maryland so far this year and the biggest since another Bel Air resident claimed $60,000 on the game last December.
Her good fortune spread around the bar as her friend won $125 on Racetrax and another patron walked away with $375 on a separate Racetrax draw.
Seifert, a salesperson, said she plans to use her prize to settle some finances and invest the remainder. Steelefish Grille, located at 660 Boulton Street, will receive a $500 bonus for selling the winning ticket.
