There’s an abandoned waterpark near Barstow, California that was once called the Action Park of the west. Action Park was an injury-plagued waterpark in New Jersey that shut down but has recently reopened. It wasn’t the only dangerous waterpark for thrill-seekers. Another similar park existed in the middle of the Mojave desert near Delores Lake. The owners created a lake, called Lake Delores, which now sits abandoned and dry.
