ALLEGHENY COUNTY, PA – On Thursday, the Allegheny County Police Department’s Child Abduction Response Team was called to assist in a search for a missing 7-year-old boy in Swissvale.
The call came from Swissvale Police around 12:15 pm.
The child, last seen near his residence on the 7500 block of Melrose Street shortly after 10:00 am, was found safe just over an hour later. He was located on the 7500 block of Penn Avenue in Pittsburgh’s Point Breeze neighborhood.
Detectives from the Allegheny County Police Department’s General Investigations Unit have taken over the investigation.
Early findings suggest the child was not in any danger. However, the investigation is still ongoing.
