Mt. Laurel man arrested for Evesham bank robbery

EVESHAM, N.J. — A 33-year-old Mt. Laurel man was arrested on Wednesday following a robbery at a Bank of America branch on Route 70, where he allegedly passed a note threatening violence and demanded money, authorities said.

Evesham Police responded to the robbery call at approximately 2:43 p.m. and quickly established a perimeter around the area. Officers disseminated a description of the suspect, who fled the scene on foot, and an alert officer later spotted a vehicle matching the suspect’s description.

David Bello, described as a white Hispanic male, was stopped and arrested without incident, police said. Investigators obtained a search warrant for the vehicle, which yielded evidence linking Bello to the robbery.

Bello has been charged with robbery and theft and is currently being held at Burlington County Jail pending an initial court appearance at Burlington County Superior Court.

The Evesham Police Department is coordinating with the FBI, Mt. Laurel Police, and Westampton Police to determine if Bello may have been involved in other bank robberies in the region.

Authorities have asked anyone with information about the case to contact the Evesham Police Department through their confidential tip line or email.
