September 14, 2023

SALISBURY, MD – Over the past 36 hours, four separate shooting incidents have occurred across various locations in Wicomico County, prompting investigations by both the Wicomico County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigation Division and the Salisbury Police Department Criminal Investigation Division.

The first incident took place during the night of September 12, in the 800 block of Chippewa Blvd. It went unreported until a citizen alerted the WCSO CID, which then confirmed that multiple shots had been fired in the area.

The second incident occurred in the early morning hours of September 14, in the 800 block of Price Road. Numerous shots were fired, and although it was not initially reported, WCSO responded to a related hit-and-run collision involving vehicles that appeared to be fleeing the scene.

The third incident also took place in the early morning of September 14, at a residence in the 100 block of Carolyn Avenue. The home was hit 13 times by gunfire from two different shooters.

The fourth shooting incident is being investigated by the SPD CID. It occurred in the 100 block of Davis Street in Salisbury, where a residence was struck by gunfire three times.

Both WCSO CID and SPD CID are urging anyone with information on these incidents to come forward.
