DELMAR, Del. — Delaware State Police are investigating a murder-suicide that left two people dead Thursday morning in Delmar.
Troopers responded to the 10000 block of Country Grove Circle at approximately 9:18 a.m. for a death investigation. Upon arrival, officers discovered a 42-year-old woman with apparent gunshot wounds and a 56-year-old man with a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
Both individuals were pronounced dead at the scene. Authorities have not released their names, pending family notification.
The Delaware State Police Homicide Unit is leading the investigation. Detectives have not disclosed a possible motive or details about the relationship between the deceased.
