MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. — The Myrtle Beach Police Department announced it will strictly enforce all fireworks ordinances during the upcoming Fourth of July weekend, warning that violators — including parents of underage offenders — may face fines, arrests, or prosecution.

Authorities emphasized that public safety remains a top priority and encouraged residents to report illegal activity. “If you see something, say something,” the department stated in a message posted Wednesday.

Police said enforcement efforts will apply citywide throughout the holiday period.
