QUEENS, NY – A city Human Resources Administration police officer was arrested Monday night on a slate of sex-related and misconduct charges in the 112th Precinct, officials said.
Authorities said 33-year-old Azizjon Makhmudiy, an on-duty HRA police employee, was taken into custody around 8:10 p.m. Monday.
Makhmudiy faces multiple charges including sex abuse, unlawful imprisonment, criminal impersonation, coercion, forcible touching, and official misconduct, according to police.

Officer accused of abusing position
Officials have not released details of the alleged incident leading to Makhmudiy’s arrest, but sources said the charges stem from actions taken while he was on duty. The HRA Police, a division of the city’s social services agency, enforces laws and maintains order at public assistance facilities across New York City.
Makhmudiy’s arrest was handled by NYPD officers assigned to the 112th Precinct, which covers parts of Forest Hills and Rego Park.
Charges under internal review
The city’s Department of Social Services confirmed it is aware of the arrest and said the agency’s internal affairs unit is cooperating fully with the NYPD’s investigation. The department has not stated whether Makhmudiy has been suspended or reassigned pending the outcome of the criminal case.
He was expected to be arraigned in Queens Criminal Court.
