Search underway for missing New Zealand man last seen at Rockville Metro Station
ROCKVILLE, MD — Authorities are searching for a 57-year-old man who traveled from New Zealand to Maryland and vanished just after arriving at the Rockville Metro Station early Tuesday morning.
Evgeny Pavlov, a white male visiting from New Zealand, was last seen around 12:46 a.m. walking toward a bus stop at 250 Rockville Pike shortly after arriving in the United States. The Rockville City Police Department has labeled the case as a critical missing person and is asking for the public’s help locating him.
Pavlov was wearing a blue sweater, jeans, and glasses, and was carrying a small blue backpack, a carry-on bag, and a dark blue roll-on suitcase when he disappeared. Authorities have not disclosed the purpose of his visit or whether he had any local contacts.

Investigators say there has been no known communication from Pavlov since his arrival, and attempts to reach him have been unsuccessful. Surveillance footage reportedly shows him exiting the Metro and heading toward a nearby bus area, but he has not been seen since.
