Newark Burglar Caught On Camera

NEWARK, NJ – The Newark Department of Public Safety is seeking assistance from the public in identifying a burglary suspect involved in a theft on December 27th. The incident occurred at approximately 2:25 a.m. in the 600 block of North 5th Street.

The suspect, captured on surveillance footage, is seen fleeing from a residence after stealing $733 from a nightstand in the bedroom. The individual was last seen heading southbound on North 5th Street. The surveillance video shows the suspect wearing a black ski mask, black gloves, a blue sweater with a white Champion logo on the front, and sneakers.
