NYPD School Crossing Guard Arrested on Weapon and Menacing Charges

BROOKLYN, N.Y. — A New York City employee was arrested Tuesday morning in Brooklyn, according to police officials.

At approximately 11:52 a.m., Britania Evans, a 35-year-old NYPD school crossing guard, was taken into custody within the confines of the 79th Precinct. Evans has been charged with criminal possession of a weapon in the fourth degree and menacing in the third degree.

Details surrounding the circumstances of the arrest have not been released. The incident is under investigation.
