QUEENS, NY – Police are asking for the public’s help identifying a suspect wanted in connection with a violent assault that left a man seriously injured early Friday morning in Jackson Heights.
According to the NYPD, the attack occurred around 4:12 a.m. on January 23, 2026, in front of 81-09 Roosevelt Avenue. Investigators say a 27-year-old man became involved in a verbal dispute with an unidentified individual. During the confrontation, the suspect grabbed a glass bottle and struck the victim in the face, causing a deep laceration and a fractured jaw.
The assailant then fled the scene on foot, heading westbound along Roosevelt Avenue. The victim was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment and is listed in stable condition. Police have not released a description of the suspect as the investigation remains ongoing.
