NEW YORK CITY, NY – The New York City Police Department’s Hate Crime Task Force is actively investigating an assault that occurred on April 13 near West 23 Street and 11 Avenue.
The incident took place when a large group of individuals, including a 14-year-old male victim, gathered at the location. The three suspects approached the victim, made anti-sexual orientation remarks, and proceeded to assault him, punching and kicking him multiple times physically. The suspects also slammed the victim’s head against the ground before fleeing the scene. The victim sought medical attention for his injuries.
The NYPD has released a photo of one suspect, described as a male with a light complexion, approximately 5’9″ in height, with a thin build, dark-colored eyes, and dark-colored hair.
The individual is believed to reside in New Jersey.
