NYPD Seeks Suspect in Violent Brooklyn Subway Assault

BROOKLYN, N.Y. — The New York City Police Department is asking for the public’s help in identifying a suspect involved in an assault aboard a Brooklyn subway train earlier this week.

Police reported that on January 7, 2025, at approximately 11:25 a.m., a 33-year-old man was attacked while riding a northbound ‘R’ train. The unidentified suspect repeatedly punched and kicked the victim in the face before fleeing the station on foot.

The victim was transported by EMS to NewYork-Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital, where he was listed in stable condition.

The NYPD has released images of the suspect and is urging anyone with information about the individual’s identity or whereabouts to contact authorities.

The investigation remains ongoing as police work to locate the suspect.
