Ocean County man held without bail after stalking and theft charges

TOMS RIVER, NJ – A man identified as Rafael Brito Ozoria was booked Monday in Ocean County on multiple charges, including stalking, theft by unlawful taking, and alarming conduct.

According to court filings, Ozoria faces three counts under New Jersey criminal code: 2C:12-10B for stalking, 2C:20-3A for theft by unlawful taking, and 2C:33-4C for alarming conduct. The charges range from third- to fourth-degree offenses.

Theft by unlawful taking typically involves removing or exercising control over another person’s property without consent, while stalking refers to conduct that causes fear or emotional distress through repeated unwanted behavior.

No bail set in open case

Ozoria’s bond was listed as zero dollars with a “no bail” designation, and the case remains open. Records show no detainers, aliases, or additional holds at the time of booking.
