Ocean County player wins $1.03M Jersey Cash 5 jackpot after dreaming of victory
Trenton, NJ – An Ocean County lottery player struck gold Wednesday night, matching all five numbers in the Jersey Cash 5 drawing to win a $1,039,075 jackpot—hours after dreaming of the big win.
The player, who has not been publicly identified, said they woke up around 3:30 a.m. and immediately checked their numbers online, confirming that their dream had come true. The winning numbers were 08, 17, 26, 38, and 43. The XTRA was 02, and the Bullseye was 38.
The jackpot was the 48th Jersey Cash 5 prize awarded this year and the eighth to top $1 million. Robin’s Convenience Store, located at 256 Atlantic City Boulevard in Beachwood, sold the winning ticket and will receive a $2,000 bonus for the sale.
After verifying the ticket again in the morning, the winner shared the news with a family member, who also reported waking up around the same time. The prize money will go toward home repairs and paying bills, according to the winner.
In addition to the jackpot, 49 other players matched four out of five numbers plus the Bullseye to win $500 each. Ten of those players had selected the XTRA option, doubling their prizes to $1,000.
The Jersey Cash 5 jackpot has since reset to $150,000 for the next drawing.
