Man killed, woman wounded in late-night Brooklyn shooting

Brooklyn, NY – A late-night shooting in Bedford-Stuyvesant left a man dead and a woman injured after gunfire erupted outside a Lexington Avenue building, police said Friday.

The violence broke out around 11:51 p.m. Thursday in front of 380 Lexington Ave., within the 79th Precinct and PSA #3 housing area. Responding officers found a 28-year-old man with a gunshot wound to the head and a 23-year-old woman suffering a graze wound to her neck.

EMS rushed both victims to NYC Health + Hospitals/Kings County, where the man was pronounced dead. The woman remains in stable condition, according to police.

The identity of the deceased is being withheld pending family notification. No arrests have been made, and the investigation is ongoing.
