Queens, NY – An off-duty firefighter with the FDNY was arrested early Sunday morning in southeast Queens on drunk driving charges, police said.
Authorities identified the suspect as 42-year-old Jason Hibbert. He was taken into custody at 6:53 a.m. within the 113th Precinct, which covers parts of Jamaica, St. Albans, and Springfield Gardens.
Hibbert, who was off duty at the time, was charged with driving while intoxicated, driving while ability impaired, and refusing to take a breathalyzer test. No injuries were reported in connection with the incident.
The FDNY has not immediately commented on Hibbert’s arrest.
