QUEENS, N.Y. – An off-duty New York City Police Department employee was arrested late Saturday night in Queens following an alleged domestic incident, authorities said.

Police reported that at approximately 10:15 p.m., officers took 36-year-old Satyadeva Ramsarran, an NYPD auto body worker, into custody within the 113th Precinct.

Ramsarran was charged with strangulation, criminal mischief, assault, and harassment.

The NYPD said the arrest was made while Ramsarran was off duty. No further details about the incident or the victim have been released as the investigation continues.
