Off-duty NYPD officer charged with DWI in the Bronx

BRONX, NY – An off-duty New York City police officer was arrested Friday morning and charged with driving while intoxicated after allegedly refusing a breathalyzer test, authorities said.

The arrest took place around 9:15 a.m. within the confines of the 50th Precinct.

Police identified the officer as 34-year-old Troy Reid.

He faces charges of driving while intoxicated, driving while ability impaired, and refusal to take a breathalyzer test.
