Cleveland store sells $20K winning VIP Millions scratch-off ticket

CLEVELAND, OH – A lucky Ohio Lottery player walked away with a $20,000 prize after purchasing a VIP Millions scratch-off ticket at Charlie’s Beverage in Cleveland.

Lottery officials said the winner will receive about $14,400 after state and federal tax withholdings. The odds of winning the $20,000 prize are 1 in 10,000.

As of August 15, 255 prizes of $20,000 remain in the game, along with 29 top prizes valued at $40,000 a year for 25 years. The overall odds of winning any prize in VIP Millions are 1 in 4.02.

Charlie’s Beverage, located at 15803 Lorain Avenue, sold the winning ticket.

Since 1974, the Ohio Lottery has contributed more than $33 billion to education statewide.
