SHEFFIELD LAKE, OH – A $10 Mystery Multiplier ticket purchased at a local Sheffield Lake market turned into a $300,000 jackpot for one Ohio man, who bought the winning scratch-off on the day of a family funeral.

The winning ticket was sold at Brownie’s Market, located at 5260 East Lake Road. The man, who rarely plays the lottery, made the purchase on a whim and brought the ticket home to scratch it with family. The ticket revealed the game’s top prize of $300,000.

After taxes, the winner will take home approximately $218,625. The odds of winning the top prize in the Mystery Multiplier game are 1 in 416,666.

As of Wednesday, there are still 10 top prizes of $300,000 remaining in circulation, in addition to other prize levels. The overall odds of winning any prize in the Mystery Multiplier game are 1 in 3.06, according to the Ohio Lottery.

Brownie’s Market will receive a $3,000 bonus for selling the top prize-winning ticket.
