Ohio woman cashes in on scratch-off win

Lucky ticket in bin 66 delivers $50,000 windfall for Newton Falls woman

NEWTON FALLS, OH – A single scratch-off left in bin number 66 at a Newton Falls convenience store turned into a $50,000 prize for a local woman who decided to take a chance.

Jodi of Newton Falls purchased the final Ultimate $5,000,000 Scratch-Off ticket from bin #66 at Westview Quick Stop, located at 20 Ridge Road.

After returning home, she scanned the ticket before scratching it and discovered it was a $50,000 winner. She then scratched the entire ticket and revealed the first two numbers as 6 and 6.

The Ultimate $5,000,000 Scratch-Off is promoted as offering the best odds to win $5 million in Ohio Lottery history. As of Feb. 17, six top prizes of $200,000 per year for 25 years remained. The overall odds of winning are 1 in 3.61.

After 26.75% in state and federal taxes, she will receive $36,625. She plans to take a Caribbean cruise and save the remainder of her winnings.
