Circleville woman scratches her way to $100K lottery win at local market

Circleville, OH — A Pickaway County woman is celebrating a six-figure lottery win after picking up a $10 Winter Green scratch-off ticket that turned into a $100,000 payday.

Heather, of Circleville, purchased the lucky ticket at Little Bear Market on Harrison Street and hit the game’s second-tier prize. After mandatory state and federal tax withholdings totaling 27.125%, she will take home $72,875.

The Winter Green scratch-off, which features a top prize of $500,000, has more than $4 million in total cash prizes still available, ranging from $25 to $100 in addition to its top- and second-tier awards.

The win was announced Friday by the Ohio Lottery. Additional details about Heather or her plans for the prize have not been released.

Little Bear Market, the retailer that sold the winning ticket, may also be eligible for a bonus for selling the prize-winning scratch-off.
