Pedestrian struck and injured on South Military Highway in Chesapeake

Chesapeake, VA – A woman was hospitalized after being hit by a vehicle Saturday evening at the intersection of South Military Highway and George Washington Highway, according to Chesapeake Police. Officers responded around 6:30 p.m. and found the adult female pedestrian suffering from injuries that were described as non-life-threatening.

Emergency medical personnel transported the woman to a nearby hospital for treatment. Police said the driver involved stayed at the scene and is cooperating fully with investigators.

Authorities did not release the identities of those involved, and the investigation into the circumstances of the crash remains ongoing.
