Pedestrian Struck and Killed in Landover

Landover, MD – The Prince George’s County Police Department’s Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Unit is actively investigating a fatal accident involving a pedestrian that occurred on the evening of February 6. An adult male pedestrian was found deceased on the scene after officers were called to the intersection of Landover Road and 55th Avenue around 7:30 PM.

Upon arrival, police discovered the victim in the roadway, having sustained severe trauma. Efforts are underway to identify the deceased and notify his next of kin.

Initial findings suggest that the pedestrian was struck in the southbound lanes of Landover Road by a vehicle whose driver remained at the scene following the incident. The driver did not sustain any injuries.
