Pennsylvania State Trooper Arrested for Excessive Force on Romantic Partner

HARRISBURG, PA – On Thursday, Ronald K. Davis, a member of the Pennsylvania State Police, was charged with multiple offenses, including felony strangulation and false imprisonment.

The charges stem from an incident involving a victim referred to only as M.F., with whom Davis had an intimate relationship.

Evidence, including video footage, suggests that Davis used excessive force on M.F. and improperly committed her under the Mental Health Procedures Act. As a result, M.F. was involuntarily committed for five days.

Following a preliminary arraignment on September 21, Magisterial District Judge Rebecca Margerum ordered Davis to be held at Dauphin County Prison without bail.

The case is being prosecuted by Chief Deputy District Attorney Sarah Phillips.
