Perth Amboy firefighters deliver Thanksgiving meals to 120 families

PERTH AMBOY, NJ – The Perth Amboy Fire Department hosted its 3rd Annual Thanksgiving Food Distribution this morning at Fire Headquarters, partnering with the city’s Department of Human Services to serve local families in need.

More than 120 families received meal packages as part of the initiative, which also supported 120 meals provided throughout the week.

The department credited donations from community partners and organizations for making the event possible.

A Mayoral Citation was presented to Lineage Logistics and General Manager John Kennedy for their continued contributions as the largest donor.

Community partners power annual holiday drive

Lineage Logistics not only supplied funding but also stored frozen turkeys in its warehouse and provided staff to assist with meal distribution. City officials recognized their ongoing commitment to the event.

Additional donors included the NJ FMBA, Industrial Safety, Perth Amboy Police Athletic League, Perth Amboy PBA Local 13, Perth Amboy FMBA Locals 58 and 258, and the NJ Deputy & Battalion Fire Chiefs Association.

The City of Perth Amboy, Mayor Helmin Caba, the Perth Amboy Professional Firefighters Association, the Perth Amboy Fire Officers Association, and the Office of Housing & Social Services all took part in the event, reinforcing the city’s dedication to community service during the holiday season.
