MIDDLETOWN TWP., PA – A man is in custody after allegedly following a juvenile from a bus stop Thursday afternoon and attempting to flee from responding officers on Forsythia Drive North.
The child sought help from a nearby resident, who quickly called 911.

Quick response ends tense encounter
According to Middletown Township Police, the incident unfolded near Full Turn Road when the juvenile noticed a man following her after she got off the bus. The child ran to a neighbor’s home, where the resident provided safety and immediately notified police.
Responding officers located the suspect a short distance away. When ordered to stop, he reportedly ignored commands and attempted to flee.
Suspect subdued and hospitalized
Police deployed a taser to safely subdue the suspect, who was then taken into custody. Rescue personnel evaluated him at the scene before transporting him to St. Mary Medical Center for treatment.
