Police Arrest Underaged Suspect in 2019 Murder of Roscoe Foster

Schenectady, NY – Police in Schenectady have announced an arrest in the 2019 cold case of the murder of Roscoe Foster. Due to the suspect’s age at the time of the murder, police are not releasing their name.

According to the Schenectady Police Department, the agency has filed for and obtained an arrest warrant in connection to the January 25, 2019 death of Roscoe Foster on Becker Street in the City of Schenectady.

On Wednesday, investigators petitioned the Schenectady County Youth Part Court for a warrant of arrest.

“Due to the suspect’s age at the time of the incident, a name will not be released at this time,” police said. “The suspect is 20 years old and currently being held at a New York State correctional facility on an unrelated charge.”
