Swissvale, PA – A home invasion turned deadly on December 14 when police discovered a male with multiple gunshot wounds. Authorities identified the victim as 42-year-old Matthew Bernard, who died at the scene.
Officers responded to a report around 10:10 PM at an apartment on Dickson Street. The victim was found shortly after family members were contacted to check on the residence.
Bernard was known to visit the apartment. The Allegheny County Police Department’s Homicide Unit is seeking information from the community to identify those responsible for his death.
