Driver and vehicle found in Wheaton fatal hit-and-run that killed pedestrian
Gaithersburg, MD – Detectives have located both the vehicle and driver believed to be responsible for a fatal hit-and-run in Wheaton last week that claimed the life of 52-year-old Ganga Prajapati, Montgomery County Police announced Monday.
Investigators with the Collision Reconstruction Unit tracked down the suspect vehicle, a silver 2012 Audi A4, on the afternoon of September 26 in Laurel. The driver was also identified and contacted by detectives. Charges are pending as the investigation continues.

The crash occurred on September 23 in Wheaton, where Prajapati was fatally struck. Authorities did not immediately release details on how investigators located the vehicle and driver, but said the case remains active and ongoing.
