Police Investigate Hate Crime Motivated Assault at Dyckman Street McDonald’s

NEW YORK, NY – An aggressive assault incident inside a McDonald’s on Dyckman Street is currently under investigation by the NYPD’s Hate Crime Task Force.

On December 6, at approximately 5:16 PM, a 22-year-old man was accosted by an unidentified individual at the McDonald’s located at 208 Dyckman Street. The assailant approached the victim from behind, demanding money. Upon the victim’s refusal, the attacker grabbed him by the hair, dragged him, and punched him in the face and mouth, resulting in minor facial injuries.

The assailant used derogatory terms during the attack against the man.

The suspect fled north on Broadway immediately after the incident. No arrests have been made so far.

The suspect is described as a male, around 40 years old, 5’11” tall, weighing approximately 160 pounds, with a dark complexion, medium build, black hair, and black eyes. He was last seen wearing a red hooded sweater, blue pants, and black shoes.

The NYPD urges anyone with information about this incident to come forward to assist in the investigation.
