WHITING, N.J. – A fast-moving overnight theft in Whiting left one local man without two dirt bikes after three suspects broke into his garage early Sunday morning, taking off in his truck before abandoning it nearby.

According to the victim, the break-in happened around 2:40 a.m. when the trio entered the garage through a window, grabbed the keys to his 2024 GMC 2500 from a workbench, and drove off with his 2021 Yamaha YZ250F and a Suzuki 110 dirt bike loaded in the truck bed. The vehicle was later found a short distance down the street, but both dirt bikes remain missing.

The suspects also stole the man’s truck, abandoning it a few blocks away.

The suspects were reportedly on the property for less than five minutes before fleeing. Nothing matching the stolen bikes has appeared for sale on online marketplaces as of Sunday afternoon and the owner is asking the public to keep an eye out for the stolen truck and dirt bikes.
