Police Seeking Scooter Bandit Who Robbed NYC Woman at Gunpoint

NEW YORK – The NYPD is seeking the public’s help to locate an individual connected to an attempted robbery in the 115 Precinct on Wednesday, September 6.

The incident occurred at approximately 5:00 p.m. at the intersection of 100 Street and 32 Avenue. A 55-year-old woman was walking when an unknown male on a moped snatched a necklace off her neck. The victim recovered the necklace; the assailant dismounted the moped and displayed a firearm, demanding her property. When the victim shouted for help, the individual remounted the moped and fled westbound on 32 Avenue towards 99 Street.

There were no injuries.

The suspect is described as a male, approximately 25 years old, 5’6″ tall, with a medium build and a dark complexion. He wore a black helmet, dark face covering, black t-shirt, gray shorts, and black sneakers. He was on a black moped.
