Police welfare check in North Portland turns into death investigation

PORTLAND, OR – On December 2, 2020, at 7:06 a.m., officers from the North Precinct responded to call of a welfare check in the area of North Columbia Blvd and North Bank. The welfare check is now a death investigation and Detectives are responding to the scene.

Eastbound North Columbia Blvd is closed from Upland to Midway.

An update will be provided when available from Detectives.
