NORWALK, OH – A pregnant woman and her unborn child died this Friday after the woman was shot in her home on Woodlawn Avenue. Norwalk Police Chief Dave Smith reported that the woman was shot in the back with a 9 mm gun.
The woman, whose name has not yet been released, called 911 and reported the incident herself. Only she and her 2-year-old son were home at the time.
The specifics of how the shooting occurred are currently under investigation.
