QUEENS, NY – A 19-year-old man was gunned down Sunday night in Queens, collapsing on the street after being struck in the chest as police rushed to the scene.
The shooting erupted around 7:40 p.m. near 64 Road and the Grand Central Parkway in Forest Hills. When officers arrived, they found Jean Rios, 19, unconscious and unresponsive with a single gunshot wound to the chest. He was rushed to NewYork-Presbyterian Queens Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Victim identified
Rios, who lived on 61 Road in Queens, was the only person struck in the shooting. Police confirmed his identity shortly after notifying his family.
