Report: Der Wunder Weiner is Coming Back

BAYVILLE, NJ – The rumors are true. The Jersey Shore’s favorite roadside hot dog attraction is coming back. Der Wunder Weiner will soon be returning to the side of Route 9, this time just a bit south of where the original site was by the old Beachwood Plaza.

In June of 2018, owner Gerald LaCrosse was injured when a car slammed through the trailer, seriously injuring him. Now, four years later the month, the news was announced that LaCrosse’s beloved hot dog stand is coming back.

According to a report by 94.3 the Point, Joel Balazinski, the construction contractor for Der Wunder Weiner announced the stand is returning to an empty lot just north of the now-abandoned Blackbeard’s Cave.

Balazinski said the reopening is “within reach and not far off”, but stopped short of giving an exact date.
