Rookie Paterson Cop’s Quick Response to Box Cutter-Wielding Man Thwarts Slashing

PATERSON, NJ – Rookie Officers Leonardo Lugo and Christopher Gil, on their walking post on Broadway, handled a volatile situation involving a box cutter assault.

Upon arriving at the scene of a verbal dispute, they witnessed a man wielding a box cutter against another individual.

Officers Lugo and Gil apprehended the assailant without further incident. Officer Gil is preparing for deployment with the Army National Guard. He is dedicated to serving the nation in multiple capacities.
