SCHENECTADY, NY – In anticipation of the upcoming snowstorm, the Schenectady Police Department is reminding residents of important parking regulations.

Residents living on the city’s priority streets are required to move their vehicles off the roadway after 3 inches of snowfall and cannot return them until the streets are fully cleared.

To facilitate the efforts of plowing crews, enforcement of these parking restrictions will be stringent, with potential ticketing and towing at the vehicle owner’s expense.

The City of Schenectady’s municipal parking garage will be open free of charge for residents during the street-clearing operations.

A detailed list of the priority streets is provided, including Van Vranken Avenue, Nott Street, Union Street, among others. Compliance with these regulations is crucial for efficient snow removal and public safety.
