LIMA, OH — A Lima resident scratched her way to a $150,000 windfall after purchasing a winning Monopoly Bonus Spectacular 25X ticket, the Ohio Lottery announced Wednesday.

The winning $5 scratch-off ticket was sold at Meat City, located at 801 East Kibby Street in Lima. The lucky player claimed the game’s top prize and will receive approximately $108,000 after 28% in mandatory federal and state taxes.

The Monopoly Bonus Spectacular 25X scratch-off features a top prize of $150,000. As of Wednesday, five top prizes remain available in the game, according to lottery officials.

The game is one of several themed instant tickets offered by the Ohio Lottery, which continues to promote scratch-offs as a popular option among Ohioans seeking fast payouts.

Lottery funds support education across the state

Since its founding in 1974, the Ohio Lottery has contributed over $33 billion to education across the state. Proceeds from all lottery games go toward supporting K-12 schools through the Lottery Profits Education Fund.
