Seaford man charged with assault after attacking EMT in ambulance, police say

Seaford, DE – The Delaware State Police have arrested a 37-year-old man from Seaford for allegedly assaulting an emergency medical technician from the Blades Fire Company while being treated in an ambulance late Tuesday night.

According to police, the incident occurred around 10:50 p.m. on January 21, 2026, in the 10000 block of Serenity Circle. Troopers responding to the scene learned that Nathan Ennels became combative while receiving medical care and punched the EMT in the face, breaking their glasses. The victim sustained minor injuries, and Ennels was transported to a local hospital for treatment.

After being released from the hospital the following day, Ennels was taken to Troop 5, where he was charged with assault on an emergency services provider and related offenses.
