Barnegat Man Sentenced for Cocaine and Handgun Charges

**Barnegat, NJ** – Clifford Holland, 48, of Barnegat, received a prison sentence on Friday following his guilty pleas to drug and weapons charges. Judge Dina M. Vicari sentenced Holland to three years in New Jersey State Prison for possession with intent to distribute less than half an ounce of cocaine. Additionally, he received a 10-year sentence, with a five-year parole ineligibility, for unlawful possession of a handgun.

The charges stem from a February 23 incident in Barnegat. During a narcotics investigation, law enforcement executed a search warrant on Gunning River Road. Police seized cocaine and a .22 caliber revolver.

Holland had been detained since his arrest on that date. He entered his guilty pleas on September 9 before the same judge. The sentences will be served concurrently.

Ocean County Prosecutor Bradley D. Billhimer commended Assistant Prosecutor Stephen Burke and various law enforcement agencies. The coordinated effort led to the successful prosecution and sentencing of Holland.

Port Jervis authorities, including Police Chief William Worden, announced the arrest of Enido Isaac Rumaldo, 20, for selling over 2.2 ounces of cocaine to an undercover officer. The arrest occurred on Monday at around 3:10 PM on King Street, following a lengthy investigation into narcotics trafficking in the area. The suspect allegedly exchanged the cocaine for $4,000, hiding the money before being detained.

Besides the drug possession charge, Rumaldo faces charges for using drug paraphernalia, as items like scales and packaging materials were found in the Cadillac he was driving. The investigation was supported by the Orange County Drug Task Force and Middletown Police Department, involving undercover operations with increasing drug purchases. Rumaldo is scheduled to appear in court in Port Jervis on October 21.

Law enforcement agencies collaborated on the investigation, including police departments from Wallkill and Montgomery, District Attorney offices from Orange and Pike counties, and several crime analysis units. In addition to Orange County charges, Pike County is also investigating Rumaldo.
