Lacey Twp., NJ – A serious crash early Sunday morning on the Garden State Parkway northbound near Mile Marker 73 left one person dead and two others injured, according to emergency radio transmissions.
The incident occurred just south of Exit 74, near County Route 614, and blocked the right shoulder as first responders arrived on scene.
The New Jersey Turnpike Authority reported the crash at approximately 6:12 a.m., with updates indicating that emergency crews were still on site as of 7:31 a.m. Responding units confirmed one fatality at the scene, while two additional individuals were being treated for injuries.
Traffic slowed through the area as state troopers and medical personnel worked around the wreckage. The cause of the crash has not been released, and the identities of those involved have not yet been made public.
