Beavercreek resident hits $50K prize on high-stakes Billion scratch-off
BEAVERCREEK, OH — A Beavercreek resident scored a $50,000 win on the Ohio Lottery’s Billion scratch-off game, turning a $50 ticket into a five-figure payday, officials confirmed Friday.
The winning ticket was purchased at Sheetz #888, located at 2100 S Alex Road in West Carrollton. After state and federal taxes totaling 27.125%, the winner will receive $36,437.50.
Billion is one of the Ohio Lottery’s highest-priced games, offering a top prize of $1 million a year for life. As of October 10, two top prizes remain unclaimed in the game, along with multiple other prize tiers.
The Ohio Lottery has contributed more than $34 billion to education since 1974. Tickets for Billion and other games can be purchased at licensed lottery retailers statewide.
